“The impact has been immeasurable — but I truly believe my wardrobe has been instrumental in my professional success”

Describe your experience working with Henry in three words.
v.c.

Transformative, confidence-building, ambitious.

How has your wardrobe evolved since working with a stylist?
v.c.

At the outset, Henry helped me define my style, and then we built an entirely new wardrobe from there. As my roles have changed over time, he’s helped evolve my style to match the needs and expectations of each working environment.

Can you share a specific purchase or outfit combination we put together that has become a firm favourite? Was there a particular moment when you wore it and felt it worked perfectly?
v.c.

Back in 2017, we bought a perfect, simple black tweed jacket. Paired with tailored black trousers and a mix of tops, it’s become my go-to comfort outfit — easy to wear, chic, and quietly powerful. I was genuinely distraught when I noticed it was beginning to fray… I’m still in denial that it’s time to replace it!

Looking back, how has investing in your wardrobe supported your professional growth over time?
v.c.

The impact has been immeasurable — but I truly believe my wardrobe has been instrumental in my professional success. As much as we might wish otherwise, appearances do matter. You are judged, at least in part, by how you present yourself.

But more importantly, feeling confident in what I wear has helped me radiate the person I wanted to become. It removed all those small worries about how I show up — they simply fell away.

Have there been any benefits you’ve realised since we started working together that you didn’t foresee?
v.c.

I’ve saved time and money by only buying clothes that actually fit and suit me. No more wasted purchases that hang unworn in the wardrobe.

What’s the most noticable difference in how you feel about your appearance since we started working together?
v.c.

I’ve stopped worrying about what I’m wearing. I trust that it’s stylish and appropriate, and that it reflects the impression I want to give.

Having worked with Henry for a while now, do you have any other feedback or experience you’d like to share that you think a new client should know?
v.c.

Henry is very open — he’s happy to be told if something’s not right for you. It might look amazing, and he might say it’s perfect, and it’s definitely good to experiment. But it’s also completely fine to say no. You’re always in control.
